Important Update:

GOLF BUGGY RENTAL POLICY

As a club, we are proud to offer some of the most competitive membership fees in the region, along with the lowest golf buggy rental rates in the country — just £12 for members.

Effective immediately, the buggy rental fee will be fixed at £12, regardless of whether a member plays 6, 10, or 18 holes. Due to the high demand for buggies and a limited supply, this flat rate ensures fairness and availability for all members. The fee covers usage for up to a maximum of 18 holes.

Please also note the following safety regulation:

Under no circumstances may anyone under the age of 17 operate or drive a golf buggy.

This is a strict policy. If any member witnesses a child driving a buggy, please report it immediately to the pro shop or club office. Unauthorised use of buggies by minors could invalidate our insurance coverage and jeopardise our lease agreement for the entire buggy fleet.

TEE TIME BOOKINGS & REGISTRATION – IMPORTANT MEMBER INFORMATION

To ensure fair play and maintain the integrity of our course usage, we kindly ask all members to adhere to the following updated policies:

*All golfers must register at the Pro Shop upon arrival.
It is essential that every player announces their arrival before proceeding to the course. If your group contains more players than are listed on the booking sheet, please expect to be questioned by staff. This is part of our effort to prevent non-paying individuals from accessing the course fraudulently.

*Tee Time App Accuracy
Please ensure that all players in your group are correctly listed on your tee time booking via the app. This helps us maintain accurate records and safeguards against misuse.

*Membership Verification
If approached on the course by staff or a course marshal requesting membership proof, please do not take offence. These checks are carried out to protect you as a paying member and to uphold the value of your membership.

*Single Player Bookings
When booking a tee time as a single golfer, please be aware that, during peak periods, you may be paired with other players. While you may occasionally be called through by other groups, single golfers do not have automatic standing on the course. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this regard.

*Tee Time Cancellations
Please only book a tee time if you fully intend to play. If you are unable to attend your tee time for any reason, we kindly ask that you contact the Pro Shop on 01446 720277 as soon as possible so that your slot can be released for other members. This includes sim bookings.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us provide a fair, enjoyable, and well-managed golfing experience for all.

ON-COURSE ETIQUETTE & PLAYING OPTIONS

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all golfers and to maintain the quality of our course, we kindly remind members of the following expectations and guidelines:

Course Etiquette

All players are expected to uphold the highest standards of golf etiquette while on the course. This includes:

*Raking bunkers after use

*Replacing divots following shots

*Avoiding warm-up practice swings on tees so we can avoid wear and tear

*Repairing your own pitch marks on the greens — and, where possible, those left by others

*Allowing faster groups to play through when appropriate to maintain pace of play

These small actions help preserve course conditions and ensure a smooth flow of play for everyone.

Shorter Rounds – Member Flexibility

As a valued member of Brynhill, if you wish to play fewer than 18 holes, the following options are permitted:

*6-Hole Option:
Play holes 1 through 4, then proceed to the 17th tee. Alternate with other groups as needed, and complete your round by playing the 17th and 18th holes.

*10-Hole Option:
Play holes 1 through 8, then move to the 17th tee. Again, alternate respectfully with other groups before finishing on holes 17 and 18.

⚠️ Please note:
Cutting in on the 16th tee after playing to the 9th is not permitted under any circumstances. The only designated point where players may rejoin the course is the 17th tee, and only by alternating with groups already on the course.

COURSE MAINTENANCE TEAM – SAFETY & RESPECT

The safety and wellbeing of our Course Maintenance Team is a top priority at Brynhill. As the course becomes busier, we ask all members to exercise patience and caution with regards to staff carrying out their duties.

Please allow maintenance staff ample space and time to complete their work safely. They are essential to the upkeep and quality of the course we all enjoy.

We kindly remind members to treat course staff with the same courtesy and respect afforded to fellow golfers. Your cooperation helps ensure a safe and professional working environment for everyone.

OVERFLOW CAR PARK

Work is currently underway to prepare the overflow car park for more efficient use, allowing vehicles to park opposite each other safely and effectively.

When using the overflow area, please park at a 45-degree angle opposite other vehicles, leaving the central lane clear for manoeuvring. This layout is designed to maximise space and improve traffic flow within the car park.

We also kindly remind all members not to drive onto the grass practice area to turn around, as this can cause damage to the turf and disrupt practice conditions.

Your cooperation is appreciated as we work to improve parking facilities for everyone.

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER – STAY INFORMED

A weekly newsletter is sent out by the office every Wednesday, containing important updates and information from our Course Manager, Richard Hatcher, as well as other relevant club news.

As a valued member of Brynhill, we strongly encourage you to read this newsletter to stay accurately informed about what’s happening at the club. It includes essential course updates, maintenance schedules, upcoming events, and general club announcements.

Currently, the open rate of this newsletter is below 40%, meaning that more than half of our members may be missing out on vital information.

We kindly ask all members to take a few moments each week to read these updates. Considerable time and effort is invested by staff to ensure this communication is clear, relevant, and beneficial to you as a member.

Your engagement helps keep the club connected and informed.

We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines and helping us maintain the quality, standards, protection and flow of play at Brynhill.
