Players Scoring / Recording Room

As you might be aware, our Club Systems PSI machine, positioned in the “players room” near the rear entry to the locker room adjacent to the notice boards and scorecard boxes, has been experiencing technical difficulties. This aging hardware frequently freezes, causing frustration among players attempting to log their scores and sign in, particularly following competitions on the weekend.

After a productive discussion with the club Systems company, I am enthusiastic about the prospect of upgrading this setup with a modern 22” touch screen display to be mounted on the wall. In tandem with this improvement, I aim to enhance the space into a more inviting "players area," with a refreshed felt covering layout for the notice boards and potential new scorecard boxes and a decorative overhaul of the area in general.

The wall designated for the prospective screen installation presents an opportunity for an eye-catching feature wall, as depicted in the attached mock-up image. Given that nearly every club member and potential visitors will utilise this area, its aesthetic appeal is of utmost importance.

Opting for a 22” wall-mounted touch screen offers several benefits. Regular software updates will keep it current, and the user experience for our members will be significantly improved as its faster and much easier to operate.

The cost of implementing the 22” wall-mounted screen amounts to £1495, plus VAT. Additionally, the expenses associated with redecoration, including new boxes, decorating and signage, are projected at £250. As a result, the total expenditure is estimated at £2,044.

In light of these developments, I humbly reach out to request any possible contributions from members. I have already had generous donations from the ladies section of and from the seniors section of - this leaves us with a target of

Your support as members no matter how small will enable me to gauge the extent to which club funds can be allocated to realise this plan.

I will also personally contribute £50 towards the project. Your involvement will be instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition and help make a better experience for members and visitors by improving this section and facility within the club.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support in our endeavor to enhance Brynhill for both members and visitors. I want to emphasise that I make no apologies for reaching out to our members and requesting donations to transform these aspirations into tangible reality. Acknowledging our current financial challenges, I believe that taking proactive steps to effect gradual change is far more productive than remaining inactive.

As a united community, we wield considerable influence, and by harnessing our collective strength, we can make a substantial impact. Even if each member were to contribute just £10, we would amass a sufficient budget to realize this project. Alternatively, a contribution of £5 from every member would yield £1,000, significantly bolstering the feasibility of this initiative for the club.

OBJECTIVE AND PLAN

The existing space is looking tired so the idea is to redecorate the space and bring it up to a more acceptable standard.

  • All walls will be nicely and tastefully covered with a new wall covering.

  • I want to remove the notice board on the left hand wall as this isn’t used.

  • I want to install the 22” wall mounted touch screen on this wall at eye level and make it a feature wall with our club logo.

  • I also want to paint and re-felt the 2 remaining notice boards and install two brand new scorecard boxes for both the seniors competition and general competitions.

  • Broken and missing ceiling tiles to be replaced and boxing in of pipework and cables

Conclusion:

Thank you for helping us with our vision of making Brynhill a better place for members and visitors. I make no apology for coming to members and asking for donations to turn these visions into reality. It is no secret that our financial position isn’t that strong at the moment but rather than do noting we can collectively change things bit by bit. We have a lot of power between us and even if every member just gave £10 we would have the budget in place to complete this project, or even if every member just gave £5 we would have a £1,000 towards it making it a much more viable option for the club.
