THE PROJECT 100 CLUB
Welcome to our PROJECT 100 CLUB – a great way for you to support your golf club whilst having a bit of a flutter!
WHY HAS THIS BEEN SET UP?
Numerous small-scale initiatives await attention throughout Brynhill, all with the aim of elevating the club's appeal and enhancing facilities for our valued members and visitors. These projects vary in terms of financial investment, spanning from modest endeavors to more extensive undertakings. Nevertheless, both categories carry immense significance for the club's future.
In the past, these projects have often remained dormant, a consequence of the club's governance being managed by a committee. To clarify, this committee has historically consisted of individuals who generously volunteer their time. Regrettably, this setup left little room or inclination for committee members to thoroughly assess projects that could bring benefits to the club. However, with my current role as a part-time general manager, I am now able to allocate time towards transforming these projects from ideas into reality. This proactive approach not only aids in attracting new members but also in retaining our existing membership base.
These are small to medium sized projects outside of the course budget and mostly in and around the clubhouse with estimated completion values of between £500 and £7,000. Projects that are very important for us as a club but not prioritised in our current financial situation. I want to create a ring-fenced “project fund” where we can bring these projects to life. This is known as the “Project 100 Club”
HOW DOES THE PROJECT 100 CLUB WORK?
• On the 1st of every month we will release the website link to buy a 100 CLUB BALL.
• Each ball is £10 to purchase. You can purchase just 1 ball or any amount of balls at £10 each.
At the EMC meeting at the end of each month we will draw 3 winning balls.
The total prize money each month will be 40% of the pot taken that month.
First Prize – 25%
Second Prize – 10%
Christmas Draw Accumulation - 5%The remaining 55% goes to the club, to fund approved projects as agreed with the Management Committee and published online.
Example 1: If we sell all 100 numbered balls we will have a £1000 in the pot. 1st place will be £250, 2nd place will be £100 and £50 will go into the Christmas draw. The project fund will have £600
Example 2: If we sell 50 numbered balls we will have £500 in the pot. 1st place will be £125, 2nd place will be £50 and £25 will go into the Christmas draw. The project fund will have £300. If a vacant number is drawn the prize fund will roll over to the following month.
At Christmas the prize fund will go up in line with the collected accumulation.
HOW WILL THE DRAW BE MADE?
We will publish the list of entries and ball numbers prior to the draw. The draw will be carried out on a monthly basis by the EMC generally during an EMC monthly meeting. This draw will be video recorded and uploaded to the website members page and Whatsapp channel. We will make the draw by having 100 balls marked 1-100 inside a cage and the cage will release the 2 winning balls.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PRIZE?
The 1st and 2nd prize from each draw will be paid out as a Foremost Golf Voucher towards any new golf equipment which can be ordered online and sent to the pro shop or alternatively we can add to your bar card or you can subtract the value from your membership renewal fees or buggy rental vouchers.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE MONEY IN THE PROJECT FUND?
I have started to compile a comprehensive overview of projects, including detailed plans, anticipated timelines, and estimated expenses. By participating in the club 100 every month, you contribute directly to the advancement of these initiatives and I will post the next project in my bi-monthly GM report. Through your support, we aim to bring these projects to fruition, thereby enhancing the Brynhill experience for both our members and visitors. Additionally, your involvement helps us attract new members to the club, fostering its growth and vibrancy.
